9/11 Victim Compensation Fund

New York skyline with One World Trade Center and Brooklyn Bridge

The Victim Compensation Fund was created to provide compensation for victims of 9/11-related illnesses, including certain types of cancer, respiratory illness, lung disease, and families of those who have since passed.

If you or a loved one were in Manhattan, anywhere south of Houston Street, near the Fresh Kills Landfill in Staten Island, or along any route used for 9/11 debris removal between 9/11/01 and 7/31/02 – as a first responder, volunteer in construction, clean-up, debris removal or as an individual who lived, worked or went to school in the Exposure Zone, you may be eligible for the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund and free healthcare from the WTC Health Program.
